When Comfort Counts . . .

Call Kohl because they do it right the first time!

Some of these photos are not "pretty" pictures.  They illustrate examples of installations by HVAC contractors that Kevin Kohl had to clean up after and reinstall.

HERE ARE TWO EXAMPLES OF POOR INSTALLATIONS KOHL REPLACED.

Kevin Kohl and his brother, Ron, are Certified HVAC Service and Installation technicians. All Kohl techs are factory trained. They install according to manufacturer instructions to ensure proper operation and safety, and they fabricate either on site or at their shop to ensure the job gets done their way---THE RIGHT WAY!

HERE ARE TWO EXAMPLES OF KOHL INSTALLATIONS.

"Works of Art" according to someone you might call an "HVAC Head", who is an expert in the HVAC industry.

This unit was improperly installed in an attic. Eventually water leaked into the cabinet, then overflowed onto the wood and into the room below.  RESULT: Water Damage
Vents were improperly installed too close together. One emits gas fumes, the other, dryer exhaust. A wind could blow gas into the dryer.  RESULT: Unsafe Ventilation
What do HVAC contractors usually do to test for leaks in AC units?

Pump dye through the system. Right?

Right but WRONG!

The photo on the left is an example of what happens when dye is used to test an AC system.

Kevin Kohl and his team use other methods recommended by the manufacturers.

Here's an illustrative story from a Testimonial.

Joe Young bought an older house in 2008 and had a Home Owners Warranty. After discovering the heat pump wasn't working properly, the warranty company sent an HVAC company. They replaced the fan motor.  Three visits later, and still with a cold house in the winter, Joe and his wife turned to Kohl because the other company was "doing enigmatic things and achieving nothing".  Joe said "they talked a good game".

Kevin Kohl and his brother, Ron, found that in addition to the heat pump not working, the electric furnace wasn't working. Within a day or so, according to Joe, all was fixed and they were warm in their new house for the first time.  "Kevin called afterwards, at least twice, inquiring about our heat", Joe writes. "The moral of this story," writes Joe, "is that anyone can talk a good game, but few can actually play it well.  As far as I am concerned, you can freeze (or swelter in the Summer) or call Kohl's."
